Frequently asked.
Everything you might want to know about the Chargr Score, our mobile assessments, the OBD-II monitoring app, and our fleet programs.
The Chargr Score
What does the Chargr Score actually measure?+
The Score is a 0–100 composite of state-of-health (SOH), cell balance, thermal performance, charging history, and pack age. It's normalized against same-model peers, so a 92 on a 2019 Model 3 means the same thing as a 92 on a 2024 Ioniq 5.
How accurate is the Chargr Score?+
Our model is calibrated against 47,000+ verified pack scans. The Standard Scan delivers a Score with ±6 point confidence. The Deep Diagnostic — which includes thermal imaging and a 30-minute conditioning cycle — narrows confidence to ±2.
Can the Score change over time?+
Yes. Batteries are dynamic. Chargr Pro subscribers see their Score update monthly based on continuous OBD telemetry. A new certified report is recommended every 12 months or before any major resale event.
Mobile assessments
Where do you operate?+
On-site service is live across the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton. Ottawa and Montreal launch Q3 2026; Vancouver and Calgary are on the 2027 roadmap. The App and Charger Map are available throughout North America.
Do I need to be present for the assessment?+
No. As long as the vehicle is unlocked and at 40–80% state of charge, our technician can complete a Standard Scan in ~30 minutes. You'll receive the report by email and on your dashboard.
Will the scan void my warranty?+
Never. Chargr uses non-invasive OBD-II protocols identical to those used by manufacturers. We do not flash firmware or modify vehicle settings.
Can you scan a vehicle I haven't bought yet?+
That's our most popular service. Send us the dealer or seller's address, we coordinate the visit, and the report is delivered to your inbox before you sign anything.
App & monitoring
Does the OBD dongle drain my 12V battery?+
No. The dongle draws ~3 mA in sleep mode — less than a key fob — and wakes only when the vehicle is on. We've tested it across 30+ models with no measurable parasitic drain.
What if I cancel Chargr Pro?+
You keep all historical reports. Live telemetry pauses, and you can re-activate at any time. There's no contract.
For dealerships & fleets
How do white-label reports work?+
Dealer Bundle customers get reports branded with their logo and colors, delivered via PDF or our API. The Chargr Score badge remains as an independent verification mark.
Do you offer volume pricing?+
Yes. Pricing scales from a per-scan rate at 25+ vehicles/month down to a flat lot subscription at 200+. Contact our fleet team for a quote.
